Caterpillar 312D Excavator Description Used 13 Ton Excavator

The Caterpillar 312D is a hydraulic excavator  manufactured by Caterpillar Inc., a leading manufacturer of heavy equipment and machinery. It is part of Caterpillar's 300 series of excavators and was introduced in 2007 as a successor to the 312C model.

The Caterpillar 312D is a mid-sized excavator with an operating weight of around 13-14 tons, depending on the specific configuration. It is powered by a Caterpillar C4.2 diesel engine, which is capable of producing up to 92 horsepower. The excavator is equipped with a hydraulic system that allows it to lift and move heavy loads with ease.

The standard bucket capacity of the 312D is around 0.5-1.2 cubic meters, although larger buckets are also available. The excavator has an arm length of around 5.7 meters and a boom length of around 3.9 meters, giving it a maximum digging depth of around 6.7 meters.

The cab of the Caterpillar  312D is equipped with joysticks and pedals that allow the operator to control the various functions of the machine. The cab also features a display panel that provides the operator with information about the status of the excavator.
